China Horologe Design Competition (Blue Light Cup) is a national-level horologe industry design competition, which is held once every two years in Zhangzhou, a famous horologe city in China. The competition is jointly sponsored by the China Watch and Clock Association and the Zhangzhou Municipal People's Government, and jointly organized by the Zhangzhou Economic and Information Commission, the Longwen District People's Government, the Zhangzhou Erqing Association, and the Zhangzhou horologe Industry Association. With the theme of "Innovation, Classic and fashion", the competition , the competition will become the world's top competition, and improve the influence of China's horologe industry. China Horologe Design Competition built an innovation platform between domestic enterprises and designers, and played an important role of Bridges. It calls on designers to use their imagination and creativity to injects new vitality into Chinese watches and clocks, focusing on the combination of design and craftsmanship, Chinese and foreign horologe design culture, business and art; It guided watch and clock enterprises to pay attention, to cultivate and reuse design talents, effectively convert design results into physical products, and continuously improve the design level and market of our country's watch industry competitiveness. The competition will achieve an all-round open international pattern, promoting the development of China's watch & clock industry from "manufacturing power" to "intelligent building power".
In 2013, the first China (Blue Light Cup) Watch Design Competition was held in Zhangzhou.
In 2015, the second China (Blu-light Cup) Watch Design Competition, a total of 432 works from Germany and Japan (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) were selected, and 71 of them were shortlisted, including 1 special prize, 3 gold awards, 10 silver awards, 15 bronze awards and 42 excellence awards.
In 2017, the third China (Blu-light Cup) Watch Design Competition, specially invited the Swiss, Japan, Germany, Singapore, and other world watch design masters to jointly create an international, diversified, with Chinese characteristics watch design competition.
In 2019, the fourth China (Blu-light Cup) Watch Design Competition was officially launched in Zhangzhou on April 19. China Watch Association senior adviser Wang Deming, vice president Ding Yanxing, deputy mayor of the municipal government Shen Zhiping, district Committee Standing Committee, executive deputy district director Huang Zeqi and Zhangzhou City directly related government department leaders and representatives of Zhangzhou City watch enterprises attended the launch ceremony, and jointly opened the symbol of the design competition officially launched hourglass chronograph. On November 23, the reevaluation of the fourth China (Blu-light Cup · Zhangzhou) Watch Design Competition was successfully concluded. On December 13, THE 4TH China (Blue Light Cup · Zhangzhou) WATCH Design Competition award ceremony was held in Longwen District of Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. The fourth China (Blue Light Cup · Zhangzhou) Watch Design Competition selected 1 special prize, 8 gold MEDALS, 19 silver awards, 25 bronze awards, 50 excellent awards. The special prize of the fourth China (Blu-ray Cup · Zhangzhou) Watch Design Competition was won by Shen Moning's "Dragon and Phoenix Chengxiang"
2021 May 26, the 5th China (Blue Light Cup · Zhangzhou) Watch Design Competition launch ceremony was held in Longwen District. Mayor Liu Yuan, Deputy Mayor LAN Wan 'an, Chairman ZHANG Hongguang of China Watch Association, Vice Chairman Li Li and other leaders attended the opening ceremony and pressed the starting button together.
